A Gathering of the Tribe

Calling out to all the Progressive People!
All of the Alternative People!
All of the Green People!
All of the Independent People!
All of the People who think we need to change
the world for the better!
I'm still optimistic enough to think that we can!

Columbus has been called a lot of things.
Ohio has been called a lot of things.
Around the country we are known as the state that
betrayed the country and allowed King George
to stay in office.
We worked hard to get the word out!
We worked hard to get a record number of new
voter registrations!
We worked hard to educate the people on the issues!

Was it all for naught?

Am I the only one who sees our little city as a
blossoming Artistic Progressive enclave?
A middle of the west San Francisco?
A middle of the east Greenwich Village?
A real live melting pot?
An Alternative Utopia in the middle of world-wide
Distopia?

Something is not right with this picture!

Announcing the Progressive Poetic Potluck
a.k.a. Gathering of the Tribe

Where: Kafe Kerouac 2250 N. High Street
When: Saturday January 28th, 2006 3-7PM
Who: You, all of the magical minds in Columbus
Why: Because we need a Progressive think tank
to battle the Stink Tank!
Admission is free

Think of it as speed dating for the mind.

Bring a dish for the potluck or not!
Bring your ideas or your ears!
It's an afternoon gathering, so you can go out and
party afterward with all of your new friends!

If you'd like to perform poetry or acoustic music
or just take the mic and spit some sense
give me a shout back...
